NO ECHO TIME ‘IN YOUR HEAD’ PREMIERE

Time are excited to present “In Your Head,” the latest single to be lifted from the Friday, July 22 release of the band’s debut album, Hydrangea (pre-order some super sick limited vinyl RIGHT HERE). The fine folks over at No Echo are premiering “In Your Head” and you can also stream the track on your favorite digital platform.

Time’s ‘90s-inspired grunge-pop presents the question, “How much damage do you have to inflict on yourself before you’re reminded you’re still alive?” and bring you “In Your Head”, a self-deprecating song about our tendency to rely on vices or dependencies as excuses to avoid acceptance or accountability. “My writing has always been extremely self-critical,” said guitarist Jon Hunt of Time. “‘In Your Head’ ended up being the output of what happens when frustration and exasperation turn into self-reflection, and the grappling with the unintended self-destruction that brings about. Life is messy, and that is OK.” Stream “In Your Head” on YouTube HERE and via No Echo HERE.

While its core members are veterans of Philly’s hardcore scene via bands such as Kill Verona, No Roses and Shark Attack, Time’s own inspiration and sound is derived from the dark and heavy shoegaze/noise-pop of touchstones such as My Bloody Valentine, Sugar, Swervedriver and Catherine Wheel but with its own blushing melody and shine.

THE READYMEN ‘RESTLESS’ VINYL RELEASE ON JUMP START

Originally slated to be re-released by Jump Start in the early 2000s after the band’s original label, Kingpin Records, went under, we’re stoked to finally bring this ‘masterpiece’ of Pacific Northwest ska-punk back to life!

Mastered to the band’s original track sequencing with reworked LP artwork from the original art pieces created and assembled by the band, Restless sounds as urgent today as when it was released over 20 years ago.

The kind folks over at Brooklyn Vegan premiered the track “Justified” last week but you can also check out the video on our YouTube channel and below. We think this release one of the most crucial yet overlooked ska-punk releases of the late 90s!

We’ve launched a PRE-ORDER for Restless over on our Limited Run webstore of the limited pressing of 300 that includes 100 each on Black, Translucent Emerald Green, and the Subscription Club exclusive variant of Opaque Emerald Green with White Swirl that brings this band to a new generation of fans that will be quick to see the link between Op Ivy and today’s crop of current bands. Former members went on to play in notable bands like Leftover Crack, MDC, and The Stockyard Stoics.

ATTIC SALT ‘GET WISE’ PRE-ORDER SHIPPING THIS WEEK

You can now Pre-Order a copy the latest release Get Wise from Attic Salt on our Bandcamp page. First pressing of 300 on Transparent Blue/White Splatter (100 copies) and Black (200 copies). Get Wise will be available on your favorite streaming or digital provider on September 25th!

ALL EYES WEST ‘LIKE LIGTHNING’ OUT 08/30

So, we’ve been long overdue for any sort of update or announcements, and there’s good reason for that. We’ll get you caught up to speed on that soon enough. In the meantime, let’s get things back into gear with a new release, shall we?

Jump Start is stoked to announce the latest and much overdue (as well) full-length effort from our favorite Chicago sons, All Eyes West. Light Lightning is the band’s first full-length effort since 2015’s Doomer, and we’re stoked to be releasing it on LP, CD, and of course, digitally. You can stream the first track from the record, “As I Bleed”, right here.
