LIMITED SIREN SIX VINYL LPS & DIGITAL

It’s been 17 years since The Siren Six! last shared the stage together, and 19 years since their last proper release as a band, but all that will change August 2017 with the release of The Siren Six’s two proper studio release The Voice With a Built in Promise, and Young and Professional on vinyl for the first EVER just in time for the band’s first show in nearly two decades with a two show reunion scheduled for Saturday, August 26th at First Avenue in Minneapolis.

The vinyl treatment of both The Voice With a Built in Promise and Young and Professional was undertaken with the utmost care attention paid to bringing the nearly 20 year old recordings back to life.

Longtime Minneapolis friend, Jeremy Tappero (Animal Chin, The Stereo), remixed The Voice With a Built in Promise from the original recording session tapes, and mastering was handled by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. Young and Professional was also given a modern touch by Alan at West West Side Music, and the end result for both is a display of the band’s energy, passion, and ability to fuse pop hooks, mod rock, and ska sounds with an almost new found urgency. The vinyl version and newly available digital downloads of Young and Professional also include two additional tracks not originally found on the 1998 Kingpin Records release. Those tracks include the band’s versions of Jimmy Cliff’s “You Can Get It if You Really Want,” which was originally released on the 1998 Vegas Records compilation Radiolistners Remix, and The Pixies “The Holiday Song,” which originally appeared on the Glue Factory Records Pixie tribute compliation Where is My Mind? A Tribute to the Pixies.

Limited pressings of 500 of each record are availalble in the following color variations:

The Voice With a Built in Promise – 500 Total
