HUB CITY’S NEW LP, DRINKING RAGE, OUT DEC 6TH

Jump Start Records is excited to announce the release of Drinking Rage, the new 14-track LP from Dirty Jersey ska veterans, Hub City Stompers! Following last month’s release of “Bloodstream,” the first single from new LP, the band and label are excited to offer a vinyl and digital Pre-Order that includes three vinyl variants; Opaque Red with Black Splatter, Translucent Emerald Green, and Standard Black. Drinking Rage is 14 tracks of high energy modern American ska that draws heavily from traditional ska, 2 Tone, punk, and Oi! and shows the band in their finest form yet.

The band is also excited to announce their first of two record release shows, the first on the album’s release date at Broken Goblet in Bensalem, PA (home of This Is Not Croydon Fest) on Friday, December 6th with Duffy’s Cut, labelmates The Bad Ups, and The West Kensingtons. GRAB SOME BAD PLANNING VINYL RIGHT HERE

The newest Jump Start recruits have been writing together since they were freshmen in high school, and now all these years later, the band is still booking their own shows, playing gigs with some of their favorite bands, and making a name for themselves in the Midwest.

The band writes with a sound that will draw comparisons to bands like Neck Deep, but with an obvious heavy slant towards East Coast melodic hardcore like Lifetime or former label contemporaries Crucial Dudes who themselves were heavily influenced by bands like Latterman or early Saves the Day. In 2019 Bad Planning released the split Splitting Hairs alongside Chicago’s A Semester Abroad, bringing a heavier side with singles “Be Brave” and “Actors”.

The four-piece outfit will be keeping busy over the coming weeks and months in support of Et Fortes. Look for a video drop in the coming weeks and more live dates in support of the release.
